Nicole UniceSpeaking Topics

I would love to talk with you about speaking at your youth, young adult or women’s event. I can provide suggestions on what might be a
good fit for your group, or I can tailor a talk to your specific topical or scriptural needs. Give me a shout if you are interested. Here are some of my past topics:

Retreat Topics:

She’s Got Issues

Is being a Christian supposed to really change me? How good am I really at loving people around me? That question prompted the book and DVD study, a honest and practical look at the way God calls us into freedom from our everyday issues. Exploring the ordinary things women find themselves hindered by: control, insecurity, comparisons, fear, anger and unforgiveness, She’s Got Issues is a great one session or retreat topic that gives women permission to be honest, get real with God, and experience the way he transforms us into women who love freely and abundantly in his power.

Jonah: The Divine Pursuit
Find your story in Jonah’s. An ideal retreat topic, this is a 3-4 session exploration of the Jonah journey in all of our lives, centered around two truths: God is relentless in pursuing you and his plans for you in the midst of his desire for reconciliation with the world.

Woman: Ancient Meets Modern
This one session or retreat topic explores the intersection of modern culture and the ancient truths about who God created women to be. The answers may surprise you, and will have your group exploring their own concepts of culture, womanhood, and Christianity. The multi-session topic uses the five woman in Jesus’ lineage to encourage woman to break out of familial dysfunction, embrace a bold faith, seek radical love and friendship, and anchor their identity in Christ. Listen to the podcast from Perimeter Church here.

Unusual Encounters: Conversations with Jesus
There is nothing ordinary about a conversation with Jesus. Explore the gospels to discover the truth about Christ’s character revealed through his interactions with everyday people. Conversations that Jesus had with people are the same conversations he has with us today: the you God is making you to be (Peter), what it really means to believe (healing the demon-possessed boy), seeking truth (Pilate) and more.

Making NO Your Friend: Exploring Healthy Boundaries
Why is No such an ugly word in the Christian woman’s vocabulary? Explore the concepts of biblical boundaries that are crucial for experiencing freedom in Christ. Topics such as guilt, forgiveness, freedom, and fostering healthy friendships have fresh meaning when applied using scripture.
